Are THESE REALLY The 10 BEST Interiors On The Market Right NOW? Wards Names Its Top 10 Interiors
In the car world there's a variety of different "types."

Some people need as much motor as money can buy. Some want as much fuel efficiency as they can find on the market. Some people just want a Tesla with that massive screen. I, on the other hand, want a complete vehicle that can provide utility, be sporting and has a great interior. To me, the interior is super important. After all, this is where I will be spending my time.

I won't be driving the car from the outside.

Being that I am an "interior guy," I was interested to see WardsAuto name its Top 10 BEST Interiors this year. As the publication points out, it strayed from picking cars like one of last year's winners, the Rolls-Royce Wraith. I mean, duh, that vehicle's interior is completely bespoke and will cost you $400 large. This year they stuck to more realistic vehicles that will make their way into your driveway.

BUT, as with all things we have to sit back and ask you: Can YOU think of other FANTASTIC interiors that have debuted in the past year? We want to hear from you, the tastemakers!

This year’s winners in alphabetical order with as-tested sticker prices:

  • ’14 BMW i3 ($52,550)
  • ’15 Chrysler 300C Platinum ($51,175)
  • ’15 Ford F-150 King Ranch ($60,675)
  • ’15 GMC Canyon SLT ($40,465)
  • ’15 Honda Fit EX-L ($21,590)
  • ’15 Jeep Renegade Limited ($33,205)
  • ’15 Kia Sedona SXL ($43,295)
  • ’16 Mazda6 Grand Touring ($33,395)
  • ’15 Mercedes C400 ($65,000)
  • ’15 Nissan Murano SL ($41,905)

These awards must just be for the dashboard/console...because I cannot imagine why anyone would award a 'Best Interior' prize to an automaker who puts fake leather seats in their vehicles that ooze a white sticky substance.

Did you have a Mercedes-Benz C-Class with the bleeding seats?

You've brought this up multiple times.

Yea....who could imagine Ward awarding the first automaker with multi contour seats that hug you as the grip the curves, seat controls that are located in the most convenient place of any vehicle on the door, which don't require the driver to reach down in the narrow space between the door/seat and guess which controls move what. Did I mention how frickin beautiful the seat controls look. And let's not forget the aesthetically pleasing controller which allows you 3 ways to control the multimedia center in the car, and those air vents scream first class.

Yea what was Ward thinking giving this to Mercedes...

The renowned master of interiors missing from the awards, audacious.
Good to see they covered a range of price points but should award winners for market relevance; <20k, <25k, <31k, <39k, <49k, <61k, >61k, and separate for light truck and car

How can anyone take Mercedes seriously when they duct tape an iPad to the dash in the name of design?

I can't completely bash Benz and the have some nice cabins but yes... Those screens look awful. Looks like aftermarket tuner crap.

I did not have the MB with the 'bleeding seats'...it's one of the reasons I crossed it off my list of cars to buy...especially the way MB chose to respond to the problem.

At least what I am calling out is something that really happened and I don't make crap statements up like 'duct tape an ipad to the dash in the name of design'.

Murano's interior is rock solid, and the SL actually starts at $37,000, it's the top trim Platinum that's $41,000. For under $40,000, Murano SL is easily the most affordable high end interior - with the MOST amazing seats comparable to the MB/BMW/Audi business class models.
