SPIED: It's COMING! FIRST Spy Shots Of The All-New Lincoln Continental Emerge, Some Details Seen
The car that easily walked away with the 2015 New York Auto Show in its back pocket, the Lincoln Continental, was merely a concept. Of course this means that Lincoln had the option to not build it, but it seems that Ford already knew it had a winner on its hands.

We know this because a vehicle has already been spotted doing research and development testing.

This is excellent news after we saw Lincoln bring back a Continental back in the early 2000s and it never saw the light of day. And after seeing what we saw at the New York Auto Show, we think that this could be the renaissance Lincoln's needed.

According to a well-placed source, the concept we saw is close to the real deal. Of course, we'll believe it when we see it.

If you leaf through the slew of spy shots, you'll note that the headlights do appear to be LED units though I cannot tell if they will feature the Lincoln logo as seen in the remarkable concept. Though the vehicle is camouflaged, it is evident the overall design will remain the same — note the roofline, proportions and C-Pillar. It'll be interesting to see if the chrome taillights stick around or if something more practical replaces them.

Even underneath all of that camouflage you can tell it's lost the bulk of the concept...thus, its commanding presence. That's too bad.

The shape and proportions are quite faithful to the concept. I didn't realize you had Xray vision.

Yeah, not sure I agree with your sentiment.

To me the overall vehicle is intact and from can be seen in the front grille and headlights it is largely in tact.

The only thing that could make this better is the V8!

I never said the 'design' elements weren't in tact...u can faintly see some of these, and some of you may be presumptive in concluding that they all are. You do not need x-ray vision to get a sense of presence of the vehicle. In fact, the camouflage should make it appear bulier, when in fact it does not. If it has the presence of the MK-whatever line, with just the front and rear design elements from the concept...then FAIL!

Just who makes up the demographic for this anyway? A lot of the people who even remember 'Continental' are getting really old...or they have horror stories from the last go around of these vehicles from Lincoln.
