IF You Picked The THREE Most Beautiful Cars EVER Designed, Would ANY Be From THIS Era?

You know, we love posing interesting and intellectually stimulating automotive questions here on AutoSpies. Not only because we know we'll get the best feedback from our audience of trendsetters, but also because it's fun!

Agent 001 and I were thinking of some good questions to bring up and 001, naturally, came up with quite a good one, which is tonight's subject.

IF you had to pick the THREE most beautiful cars EVER designed, would ANY of them be from this era?

Just to set some parameters around the word "era," let's say any vehicle produced during the 2000 model year and beyond qualifies as in this period.

So, how about it?

I guess it depends how you define beautiful.

To me they're cool but definitely not beautiful.

I just got back from Italy where some A-hole in an Alfa Giulietta ran up my trunk every 2 miles. Sure, that was annoying, but that's a cool looking car.

A 209-10 or so Aston Martin DBS. 2004-5 CL and CLS Benz's in AMG trim. 612 Scaglietti. A close 4th is the 996 porsche.

I'd go with the Aston Martin V8 Vantage. From every conceivable angle the car is perfectly designed.

I think the Paganis have always been quite nice looking. The Huayra has some elements that are just gorgeous.

In my opinion, the simple answer is "no". While the consideration is obviously subjective, my choices for the all time most beautiful cars are, in no particular order:
- prewar Delahaye Type 165 Figoni et Falaschi
- Jaguar D-Type/XKSS
- Ferrari GTO
That said, there are a number of "modern" cars I find attractive including the BMW Z8, Aston Martin V8 Vantage, Jaguar F-Type, and Corvette.
