CAR WARS! Handheld Edition: WHICH Is MORE Exciting? Controlling Your Car Via The Key Or Your Watch?
Do you hear that? No? Well, it's the sound of blaring sirens screaming "Geek alert, geek alert!"

I don't think my headline would get anyone laid, if I am honest. But, as we've been observing cars become more connected, technology is delivering all-new types of experiences.

Since Apple officially announced the Apple Watch we knew that there would be some sort of functionality with automobiles. Obviously, we're still in the beginning stages of what will be capable; however, BMW and Porsche have officially launched applications that will work between their German autos and the all-new Apple Watch.

That's pretty cool and all, but so predictable, right? BMW, on the other hand, has taken a completely different approach. Now being promoted via the company's social media channels is an all-new key that will allow you to control the all-new 7-Series. Remember way back when James Bond was able to control his E38 7'er with his mobile phone? Well, in reality you'll be able to do so with a key. Pretty gnarly. Although the complete functionality has yet to be revealed, we're thinking it will just be for parking at low speeds.

That said, we just have to ask: WHICH is MORE exciting to you? Controlling your vehicle via your watch or its key?

Call me old-fashioned, but I'm totally fine with keyless entry, with a key-fob in my pocket. Walk up to the car, pull on the handle, and it unlocks (or press the key fob button). When leaving, press a button on the handle to lock (or press the key button).

I'm not at all into the watch-extension-of-my-smartphone thing, or doing car things with my watch or my phone, or an autonomous car that drives for me.

I glanced at the Apple Watch when I was at the mall last weekend. Didn't do anything for me, and I'm a tech geek. Maybe I'd have to play more with it, but it looks like there's far too much going on for such a tiny screen. Doesn't help that my 60 year old eyes can't read anything on it without my cheater glasses on.

First impressions are mixed and reviewers adored the Apple Watch. Agent 001 snapped one up and gave it a "B" grade. He also noted the screen is tiny for the functionality, even with the larger case.

Personally from what I've heard it sounds like you need to spend a few days with it before you "get it."

They should just integrate door locks into your underpants so that when you adjust a wedgie the car locks or unlocks. One stop shopping as far as I'm concerned.

I prefer controlling my vehicle with my Feet and my Hands.

I don't think anyone gets a rush from the way to start an engine in a car.I think it happens afterwards.
