Jaguar Ready To Place A Strangle Hold On Segment With 600+ HP F-Type SVR
At the moment, Jaguar doesn’t have anything pushing out 600 hp. But according to a hot scoop from senior features editor Jonny Lieberman, that’s about to change soon thanks to a very special and very powerful Jaguar F-Type SVR. Expected output, according to Lieberman, is “600+ horsepower.”

No other details are available, but an F-Type SVR making over 600 hp isn’t surprising. The F-Type R already churns out 550 hp from its supercharged 5.0-liter V-8, while the limited and special F-Type Project 7 (shown in these photos) is tuned to make 575 hp from the same engine. For now, the Project 7 is the most hardcore F-Type variant available, packed with an active rear differential, Carbon Ceramic Matrix brakes, and a carbon fiber aero kit. It’s likely that all these performance goodies will make its way to the F-Type SVR.

In a word: NO. The Stingray KILLS the standard F Type. The Corvette Z06 will likely butcher this. The Shelby Mustang GT350 and GT350R are better choices that the good but $45K overpriced F Type.

Don't even worry about that. Almost certainly this Jag will be priced in line with things like the R8 and won't really compete with any Vette on price point.
