Dodge Says 2016 Viper ACR Will Be The Fastest Viper Ever

Snake lovers rejoice: Dodge has confirmed it will make a 2016 Viper ACR -- the performance version of a car that already tears up pavement.

The new Viper ACR was unveiled this morning during an event and tour of Fiat Chrysler Automobiles' Conner Avenue Assembly Plant that makes the wildly powerful sports car.

ACR is a trim level of the two-seater that denotes that it is track ready. Dodge chief Tim Kuniskis said today this will be the fastest street-legal Viper it has ever developed.

The Viper needs serious rethinking and an ACR is NOT the direction to go. Throwing the Hemi and Hellcat into new variations of the Viper is how to go pure and simple.
