Clarkson, Hammond, and May Working On New Netflix Series "House Of Cars"?

Clarkson, Hammond, and May Working On New Netflix Series
Jeremy Clarkson and his former Top Gear sidekicks have come up with a “genius” name for their show if they sign to Netflix.

The sacked presenter, James May, Richard Hammond and former executive producer Andy Wilman are negotiating with the online service to create a new version of the motoring series.

And one pal revealed today: “If it goes ahead, they’re planning to call it House of Cars, which is just genius.”

The title is a nod to Netflix’s hugely popular political drama House of Cards, starring Kevin Spacey as US congressman Frank Underwood.

As long as they have the budget to pull off what they did on Top Gear, and it's those three, I think it'll turn out a huge hit. I can also see this as a reason to drive a lot of revenue to Netflix worldwide.

Clarkson and his crew are tiresome, boring and worn out.
They are like hearing an old joke for the 10th time.

It is not a foregone conclusion that the show will be a success.

Top Gear flourished at BBC - because BBC basically operates like a gigantic, public television fiefdom. Top Gear was blessed with lavish budgets and indulgent producers. How did Top Gear get to do so much cool stuff, including all that really cool military stuff? Both the UK Military and BBC share the same bosses - a few phone calls were made and that was that...a British fighter pilot is racing a Bugatti Veyron.

The lavish money spent is what made Top Gear so successful. The three lad's are definitely talented - but without the BBC's money, they would have ended up with a show like Tanner, Rutledge, and Carolla in the US - fun cars, but a little boring.
