Audi's calling this design a Sportback and is bringing out the next A4 this way, supposedly. You probably won't get a man card violation driving this wagon.

*PHOTOSHOP*. CAN'T YOU ALL SEE THAT?

pinto-

The next A4 will come in sedan, sportback, wagon, coupe (A5) and cabriolet (A5). Just to make that clear. Sportbacks are cool, but Audi Avants are the coolest wagons on the face of the earth. Go RS6 Plus!

But, it does look good. It's a photoshop that would do wonders for BMW if it was real.

But remember this? BMW wants to make the coupe/convertible different from the sedan/wagon visually. If they made the sedan/wagon look like this, that wouldn't be true, would it?

We can't all be seeing the same pic that has to be one of the ugliest designs ever.

I saw my first 2007 3 Series coupe today!

It was a little far away so that I couldn't tell which model it was, but it was grey, had a dealer sticker and looked fabulous in person!

Now I really can't wait to see the 335i in that beautiful blue color that's shown here.

Still not warm to that generic, Asian-car looking front end. Or the cheap interior found in most of today's BMWs.

Not bad except I hate the "me too" rear end with the massive slope and dumb, SUV-like big C pillar. If you want a wagon it should be a real wagon...square in the back and not like a hatchback.

No random origami Bangle lines, though, that's good!

On the positive side, it will be the only vehicle of its type with an inherently balanced in-line 6-cylinder engine. On the negative side, BMW has still not learned how to provide its customers with proper side protection against parking lot door dings. This is probably a good upscale alternative to some VW models.
