Lamborghini has since confirmed that the deal was made possible thanks to assistance from the likes of the Italian Ministry of Economic Development and Invitalia - the Italian national agency for inward investments and economic development.

Its possible that this Urus (is the name a truncated iternation of the planet "Uranus"?) will not even achieve the infinitesimal sales of the old Rambo-esque LM-002's from the 1980's.

However, VW will be happy - they can cite in an internal powerpoint slide that the Q7 "tooling" can be amortized across another platform.
