Driver Ticketed For Using Watch To Change Songs In Car - Where Should We Draw The Line?
That didn't take long.

The Apple Watch isn't even available in stores yet—only early adopters who preordered have one—and a Canadian man has already been ticketed for using it while driving. Maybe he should have waited for CarPlay?

Details come from Canada's CTV News, which reports that Quebec man Jeffrey Macesin is facing a $120 fine for using the new wonder wearable computer to change songs while behind the wheel. Upon observing Macesin use the device, a patrolman pulled him over and issued the fine, citing language in the Quebec Highway Safety Code which states “no person may, while driving a road vehicle, use a hand-held device that includes a telephone function.”

First of all, it should be law that phones and devices like smart watches that take attention away from the road, should be electronically jammed and operable only by voice command. This moron got what he deserved and if anything needs his fine multiplied for being a whining a$$ about it.

A car is a weapon...would you be fiddle frackin' around with your smart watch while you were shooting your gun?

Every time you are wondering why traffic is moving too slow, noticing that it seems people are taking forever to get through a traffic light, or someone is blocking the passing lane, it's because some moron thinks it's more important to be paying attention to their phone than driving their car...and the attitude is everyone else can go to hell. I remember when driving was fun...before cell phones and self-indulgent idiot drivers.
