Your Friend Asks You To Recommend A Great Summer Ride That Won't Break The Bank. What's YOUR Call?
June is here my friends and for those readers in the traditional colder winter climates lots of people are getting the itch to buy something cool for the summer.

My friend Martin from Apple/Beats messaged me yesterday from Detroit telling me he's thinking of dumping his Wrangler for a muscle car and was wondering our thoughts on the new Camaro.

Dumping your 4x4 for a sports car always sounds SO good in June doesn't it? Oh, but come Novemeber...

That aside, I know he is not alone.

We're pretty sure you all know someone percolating on something and seeing that you read AutoSpies.com and know cars better than the rest, your opinions are definitely being requested.

So what is it Spies?

What awesome summer ride (new or used) would you be recommending that is full of joy butwon't break the bank???

Spies, discuss....

Sorry - but the very best Summer Ride has long since passed.

It is/was the VW Bus.

Anything else is a Johnnie come lately wannabe - even VW couldn't come up with a suitable replacement.

A buddy of mine was drooling over older Porsche Boxsters 986/987 for a while.

If that's too much maybe an old Miata would do it.

New: base Mustang V6
Used: Jensen Interceptor retrofitted with an LS7 and modern air conditioning.

I suggested both because I can broker deals on both. The Mustang will be 1/10th the price of the Jensen, but I'm loving my Interceptor time.

I like MDarringers suggestion for new. For old I think an early 70s chrome bumper vette would be nice and they are fairly reasonable price wise.

Second Darringer's suggestion of Mustang. The Camaro is obviously another option, especially when the 2016 model hits.

A good and used M3 is a contradiction of terms. It is either good which means the owner is keeping it, or driven to the ground in which case you are getting a headache.

Wait, did you just answer your own post?
