OFFICIAL: PRICING For The 2016 Mitsubishi Outlander Is DIRT Cheap, Find Out How Low She Can Go...
You know, I have to say that I am not a Mitsubishi guy. I don't think many people are, in fact. BUT, we have to keep reminding ourselves: a lot of people aren't exactly enthusiasts. Some folks don't mind having a toaster with four wheels.

These days, most buyers want a reliable product that is built to last, has a rocking stereo and features the latest/greatest technology. Oh, and they want it on the cheap.

Not everyone wants or needs a Porsche Macan.

For the average buyer, then the updated 2016 Mitsubishi Outlander may be worth a look. Just announced, pricing will start at $22,995*, which is pretty damn low for a seven-seater sport-utility vehicle.

*This price does NOT include title, taxes and fees.

Mitsubishi Motors Announces Reduced Pricing for New 2016 Outlander

CYPRESS, Calif. June 2, 2015

  • Starting MSRP of only $22,995; a $200 reduction in price from the previous model year
  • The 2016 Outlander features Mitsubishi's new dynamic design language and over 100 engineering and design improvements

Mitsubishi Motors North America, Inc. (MMNA) today announced pricing for the U.S. version of the new 2016 Mitsubishi Outlander seven-passenger crossover. With a starting MSRP of only $22,995, the 2016 Outlander has a $200 lower starting MSRP than the previous model year, which is notable when considering the amount of design and engineering improvements incorporated into the vehicle.

"The 2016 Outlander has a dynamic new design and a long list of engineering upgrades—it literally looks, drives and feels like an entirely new vehicle," said MMNA Executive Vice President, Don Swearingen. "Despite all of the improvements to the vehicle, we made the starting MSRP lower than the previous model year to make it an even more compelling value than before and to attract new buyers to the brand."

Along with its powerful new design language – the brand's first production vehicle to feature this new signature style direction – the new 2016 Outlander has undergone over 100 important engineering and design improvements to deliver a new level of refinement and overall driving experience.

The 2016 Outlander, with a starting MSRP of $22,995, now boasts an expanded standard features package that includes stylish new LED positioning lights, 18-in. alloy wheels, LED taillights, and a reconfigured interior including a redesigned steering wheel, improved second-row seating, accent trim, seating surfaces and headliner, among other welcome new features/amenities.

In the brand's on-going commitment to safety, Mitsubishi's advanced safety systems including Forward Collision Mitigation (FCM), Lane Departure Warning (LDW) and Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) are now available at a lower price point for the 2016 Outlander (available for SEL and GT models).

The US Dollar is near at an all time high value - which makes foreign goods cheaper to import. The major Japanese Car companies have decided to take the extra money in profits - instead of passing the savings on to Americans. In this case - Mitsubishi - which is hardly a top end make anymore - is rolling the dice hoping to both sell more vehicles - and keep its japanese factories running.

This is little different than what Hyundai and Kia has for most of their existence - and they priced their cars lower -knowing no body would pay "full" price for them initially. And - it largely worked too. If the Mitsubishi is a decent vehicle - as good as used cars of the same general price - people will buy them.

A used model from the competition is a better buy than a Mitsubishi.
