Inspired By Porsche Success?  BMW Now Considering Hydrogen Powered LeMans Entry
BMW is evaluating a sensational return to Le Mans with a radical hydrogen-powered fuel cell race car in 2018.

While the project is still being considered internally, Autocar understands that the evaluation is at an advanced stage, and that it has the tentative support of senior management as they prepare to pave the way to launch a hydrogen powered fuel cell production car around 2020.

Prior to launching any electric i brand vehicles for sale, BMW invested heavily in marketing and promotion over several years, and building a similarly advanced campaign around a Le Mans bid is considered to be one way of giving nascent hydrogen fuel cell technology more credibility in the minds of potential car buyers.

Ha ha....I based on facts..you are so wrong...the main technologies comes from F1 man....but the only real problem that I see is that F1 looks like FIFA in several aspects, so I hope the are the next to be investigated soon. When those brands were on F1 they were not up to the challenge. Enthusiasts need to force F1 to improve the rules so the Drivers and the machines can give us a better show. Right now there is too much computers and the driver is not taking the all the decisions. BMW need to return to the real roots: SPORT Cars, Luxury is not their most successful niche.
