Donald Trump Says When He Is President, Automakers Will Be Fined For Building Plants Outside Of The US

Republican presidential candidate and billionaire Donald Trump threatened Ford Motor Co. with punitive taxes if the Dearborn automaker proceeds with a new $2.5 billion Mexican plant that will “take away thousands” of U.S. jobs.

Trump, who announced his plans to run at an appearance in New York on Tuesday, vowed to impose 35 percent taxes on imported Ford vehicles and parts coming from the new Mexican plant.

Trump said he would call Ford CEO Mark Fields — whom he identified only as “the head of Ford” — to explain the “bad news.”

Are you not bright enough to see that he is making a play to sway the UAW away from throwing all their money at Hillary Clinton?

Just as the President's opinion on gay marriage has no legal weight, Trump's opinion has no legal weight either. He'd had to throw NAFTA into the toilet first.

He's using the same tactics as Obama did in 2012 where he stirred sheeple to fury over gay marriage and the invented Republican "war on women" to divert attention to the fact that he had DOUBLED this country's all-time debt in just 2.5 years.

Umm... he's built a $9B empire from virtually nothing... what have you done? He WILL bring up topics "professional politicians" will never touch like open borders, waste, fraud & abuse, IRS, NSA, incompetence and unaccountability in the govt, the demise of our status as the sole superpower on earth... yes, he'll bring up some things that absolutely need to be addressed. Will he "fine companies that mfr elsewhere"... I seriously doubt that in fact I see a business person creating a climate that will make companies WANT to mfr here, and attract others from across the globe -vs- taxing, regulating or fining companies to death that they flee the country and hide profits the pathetic politicians want to use to buy votes or waste on stupid pet projects. Professional politicians are idiots for the most part and could not make it in the real world. Many are simply power hungry losers like the Clintons who stuff their pockets by peddling influence and selling out the citizens. Pretty sure they should be in jail. Trump will likely not win, but he'd make a much better President than the current "community organizer" and Mrs. C. They've never run a thing in their lives and somehow one got elected 2X and the other thinks because she occupied a few desk chairs, traveled the world at tax payer expense for 20+ years and is chick (jury is still out on that one) that we're obligated to make her the most powerful person on earth... hmmm... that's ridiculous... Trump... we could and have done a lot worse...

@W124... I'm not going to comment on the rest of your rant but there are 2 things here you're wrong about:

1) Fred Trump, Donald's father, was worth a fortune when he died, from his own companies. Some estimates put that figure at upwards of $400m.

Fred made his fortune from real state businesses in New York, which Donald was introduced to as his son. Donald's inheritance at the time of his father's death has been estimated at anything between US$20m and US$200m.

D-bird used his inheritance to build his fortune. This is not a rags-to-riches story. So he did not build his wealth from "virtually nothing".

2) He is not worth US$9b, at least according to Forbes, and most other credible sources. Forbes says he's worth, at most is US$4.1b, and that he has inflated his own net worth, which has been doing for years. Still, US$4.1b is better than most people on earth, but then, most people on earth didn't inherit what did.

Feel free to look up anything I've just said.

LOL...let me repeat...Trump will NEVER be President...so he can talk and say whatever he wants. It's just a lot of meaningless drivel and just because he says what you want to hear, it is a moot point.

There are a lot of people that are successful at making money, building business "empires" but that doesn't necessarily mean much in the world of politics. He did file for bankruptcy 4 times and had the luxury of bankruptcy laws to benefit from, those same laws written by those stupid politicians that he belittles. What is it with our country where we think rich and famous people are God's gift to society anyway?

I am not American but I would be voting for him If I were..but He won't win for several reasons: 1 is not Mason or Illuminati, 2 Too much rich people that does not care the nation but their own pockets (and sadly a minority but they have all the money so they rule the puppets), 4 he is not a bad person but naive, and finally most of the rich people hates him so even if he had the chance to win, his final destiny would be to die and be replaced for someone than the Jesuits can handle.

If the Republicans actually wise up, they might realize from a political perspective that Trump is going to eff up ANY chance of ANY Republican getting elected.
