Now That The Hardest Work Is Done - Samsung Declares It Is Ready To Copy Tesla In The EV Market
Tesla CEO Elon Musk set the automotive world abuzz last week when he announced at the company’s shareholder meeting that he has personally been testing new auto-pilot feature in his own vehicle. He then suggested that technology for a “driverless” Tesla will be ready within the next three years.

While Tesla has been no stranger to attention this year, with plans to launch a $5 billion “gigafactory” in Nevada, a new SUV in the works for this fall and tons of viral buzz around the Model S “Insane mode.” But the company is hardly alone when it comes to automotive innovation over the past year.

Not a shocking turn of events.

Samsung has a long history of entering markets by stealing technology patents and R&D work and using them to get a foothold in the industry.

The common perception is that is it far easier and less costly for Samsung to steal the technology and use the patents illegally and then pay a fine later. Effectively riding on the coat tails of other companies innovation.
