CAR WARS! Track Battle Edition: BMW M3 vs. Mercedes-AMG C63 S

When it comes to sport sedans, it's hard to argue that there's anything on the market as brutal and exciting as the BMW M3 and all-new Mercedes-AMG C63 S. Both vehicles are incredibly capable and have their own strong suits, however, for those of you looking to hit the track, this may be a critical video to watch.

That's because our friends at Evo put both on track and timed them to see which is the best.

The BMW has a leg up as it emphasizes lighter weight and a more nimble setup. The AMG, on the other hand, is more of a bully and brute. It has an astonishing amount of power and features all-wheel drive. The problem, of course, is weight.

Funny but none of my friends or acquaintances that own C63s of M3/M4s (even 911s) take them to the track. I guess this is just for bragging rights?

Nice video with good commentary on the characteristics of both especially when moving them along. Personally I like lighter and quicker up to a point which is right about where the M3 is. I still want to check out the Shelby GT350 as well as the usual European suspects though.

The GT350 is mighty enticing at its pricepoint...
