Scion Staging Largest Media Blitz Since Launch - Would You Recommend Any Of Their Models To Someone In The Market?
Scion will stage its largest advertising campaign since its national debut in 2004 for the new iA and iM small cars.

“It will be the most money we’ve put in the market since the launch of the brand,” Scion Vice President Doug Murtha tells media at the preview for the ’16 iA and iM, both going on sale Sept. 1 in the U.S.

The subcompact iA sedan and compact 5-door iM are the first new products for Scion since the debut three years ago of the FR-S sports car.

To answer your question, no.

I had to look them up to see who Scion is. Established in 2002. Owned by Toyota. Targeted at Gen Yers (16 to 35 year olds). Nope, can't say I'd recommend them to anyone.

Hope they are not still trying to target gen Yers. They are now older, have higher incomes, and interested in larger family vehicles. I would assume they are moving towards millennials, but do not see anything of interest to any generation.

Nope!
The iA is hideous and I don't care if it's a Mazda underneath.
The iM is dull and a brand new 2012 Toyota.
The tC is older than old underneath and dull to look at.
The FRS is stuck with an underpowered Subaru engine that will drink oil.

Gee - Why would one buy a new car - when there are so many choices in the used car market that would be far better than anything Scion offers.

Example = with the Advent of the Jaguar - and the new ALFA - plus the Cadillac ATS -the market for good used compact premium sedans will soon be flooded with possibilities - even if you have to settle for a BMW instead of your first choice!!

I don't understand what scion is attempting to do here, who they are attempting to target, or why this brand (or sub-brand) needs to exist at all.

Wow. The iA looks like a true bottom feeder. How unbelievably hideous.
