Hammond, MaY And Clarkson To Face Off Against Top Gear - Which Would You Place Money On?
Talk is cheap and lies are expensive, so here goes: since Top Gear as we know it got the boot, Jeremy Clarkson and his two amigos were rumored to sign a deal for a new show with two favorite broadcasters - ITV in the UK or Netflix in the US. To be frank, there’s nothing cemented about this all-new car show at the present moment, except for an announcement that will be made by Clarkson in the following weeks.

Netflix sounds like a great deal for Clarkson, Hammond and May to continue their motoring show antics, but there’s a lil’ problem with moving across the pond. All three former Top Gear presenters have families and, from our point of view, it will be hard for the three to be away from their SOs and kids some months per year. Clarkson and company will obliterate Top Gear. The BBC will regret their stupidity.

Exactly, it goes right back to Destiny's Child or Beyonce and friends, if the talent is there, it does not matter whom is backing them, eventually the talent will speak for itself and everyone will just get it. I'm sure other networks have made offers to Clarkson but it's very hard for networks to match the freedom Netflix is giving new talent in addition to lucrative salaries

The deciding factor will be how much "production budget" (i.e. non-salary) money Netflix allocates. BBC TopGear spent lavishly on Clarkson, Hammond, May - which is really the only reason the show did so well.

Watch the US TopGear carefully - the primary reason it sucks so much is that is was obviously done on the cheap.

It all comes down to money
