Too Ugly To Love? Rendering Of The Next-Gen Toyota Prius Reveals All
"It’s not a great time to launch a hybrid vehicle given the current low fuel prices, but Toyota can’t postpone the all-new Prius any longer."

"The pics show two distinct versions: the one with a more conventional styling is apparently the Prius Plug-In Hybrid, while the one with design cues inspired by the Toyota Mirai fuel cell car is the Prius Hybrid. According to Autonet, the fourth-generation Prius Hybrid will debut at the 2015 Tokyo Motor Show in October and will offer a fuel economy of up to 40 km/L (2.5 l/100 km or 94 mpg US)."

*I* really dislike the styling, but I believe the people who are serious Prius fans didn't buy one because of its beauty. Low gas prices will probably do much more to hurt Prius sales than quirky styling.

Both renderings are tasteful evolution of the Prius aerodynamics. I would be happy with either. As a potential future buyer, I was more concerned of an awkward faux big mouth grill, like the V received.

i think toyota is having a laugh by having an internal design competetion for the ugliest possible car inspired by pontiac aztec and then making it the next prius and selling it by boatloads to hapless hipster californians.

Wow. You gotta hand it to Toyota designers for consistently out doing themselves in ugliness.

How many of these lame sites are there on the Internet who claim to have the 'inside scoop' and then they have some really terrible 'renderings'. I call BS.
