SPIED: FIRST Pics Of The Ghostbusters All-New — Not Really — Ecto 1

Now I don't want to date myself too much here but I will say I grew up watching Ghostbusters. Everyone I knew wanted to be a Ghostbuster for Halloween. That meant you would somehow con your parents into splurging for a beige jumpsuit, a backpack and a plasma thingymajig.

Being a car freak since I was a little 00R though, I always was amazed by film's usage of a Cadillac ambulance. With those over embellished fenders and classic lines, how could you NOT adore it?

Well, if you haven't been aware the film industry has run out of steam and has decided to give the flick a reboot. There's just one twist though: the Ghostbusters will now be women.

That's where Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig, Kate McKinnon and Leslie Jones come into the picture.

The all-new Ecto 1 will be a 1980s Cadillac hearse.

This will movie will be a disgrace to the original. Melissa McCarthy's comedy style plays to the most common denominator. It is obvious and childish, unlike the smarter comedy in the original.

I agree with jeffgall. Growing up I loved the Ghostbusters. This movie is no reboot. This needs to be an all new movie. The Ghostbusters were men, not women. I read about this on the internet and even my wife was annoyed that they were using women this time around. What's next? Are they going to make movie about the 80's cartoon JEM and use the all male cast from Magic Mike? I heard they are also doing a reboot of Top Gun. Is Jennifer Lawrence going to play the role of Maverick's daughter in an all girls flight school?
