Chevy Answers Aluminum F150 With A Refreshed Silverado - But Isn't This Like Bringing A Knife To A Gun Fight?
Chevrolet was caught somewhat off-guard by the advancements of the latest Ford F-150 when the latter was revealed over a year ago. Fortunately, the Bowtie brand has now struck back with the first image of the refreshed 2016 Silverado. It VERY odd they updated the Silverado when the Tahoe is the ugly duckling.

Chevrolet Truck were lighter than Ford before the Aluminum - and the difference between the weight of Ford and current Chevy Trucks is not all that much - Ford is comparing its OLD trucks to its new Trucks. Gas mileage is better on Chevy v-8 trucks - and close on the V-6. So - the real difference between Ford and Chevy comes down to personal preferences - since neither is that measurably better. Yes - there are some differences - but the biggest difference is style really. So - I don't see your knife to a gun fight comparison being real. THey are really close together. (And Ram is there too). At this level of production - these are the most profitable vehicles for their manufacturers - and they will continue to sell at high levels.
