Activists Pressure GM To Drop Kid Rock Concert Sponsorship Over Confederate Flag Use

Dissatisfied with an apparent lack of empathy from music super-star Kid Rock, a civil rights group calling on him to renounce the Confederate battle flag is meeting with his tour sponsor: General Motors.

"We will be furthering our call to ask GM to remove their support of funds for Kid Rock's tour," said the Rev. Charles Williams II, president of the Michigan Chapter of the National Action Network and pastor of King Solomon Baptist Church in Detroit.

Tolerance means being OK with that which you disagree. Liberal Gestapo bullies like Sharpton and his puppet aren't tolerant, but they L-O-V-E LOVE their drama.

It really is this simple: If you're not a kid rock fan, then let him be, shut up, and go away. If you're a Kid Rock fan and you're offended by his remarks, then don't attend a concert.

Nailed it. Let the free market decide. If you are offended, don't give him money. If you agree or do not care, and like his act, give him money.

NO ONE CARES ABOUT KID ROCK! What self respecting middle aged man still goes by the name kid anyway booooooo!

WHAT THEY DO CARE ABOUT IS GENERAL MOTORS, a major sponsor of his, that has people of color working for them and driving their product, while they tout a man carrying a flag that for many of GM's customers is a simple of hate and oppression

KUDOS to the Civil Rights Group, have General Motors put those funds into something more productive and relevant.

Just ask the KKK or FOX News sponsor instead, all is well!

Exactly, free speech works both ways. The civil rights groups are free to express their displeasure with GM sponsoring this concert. GM is free to either react to this criticism or not act. GM chose to act.

Everyone has the right to be on the right side, or the wrong side of history. Kid's only fans are the types that want to continue to wave the confederate battle flag. That's a very small group of insignificant, irrelevant, ignorant people.

For anyone thinking it was some sort of 'liberal' move to remove the confederate battle flag, then you have that completely wrong and must not have been listening to your 'conservative' buddies all across the land and have very selective hearing. Talk about 'intolerance', hahahahahaha!
