First Images Of Alfa's M3 Killer Leak Out - Is This The Cockpit Of A Class Leader?

The first ever images with the interior design of the newest Alfa Romeo model, the Giulia, are finally here.

They may not be official at this point but everything will work out for a fan of the Italian brand, especially since the interior design of the car was pretty much unknown until now. The images posted below are providing a first complete look at the cabin. First thing noticeable is the large touch screen display on the center console, serving as an infotainment system, which will also be controllable through the joystick fitted near the gearshift lever, similar to the iDrive system used by BMW.

nope - console too scattered, speedo and tach look as bad as a Camaro or Pontiac Grand Am, rest of dash a mess

see Audi for good design :)

A mix of Audi from 5-10 years ago and Mazda today. Nothing really stands out and it looks fairly clean. Will be interesting to see how the infotainment display looks. So, fairly safe except for the plethora of carbon fiber, but not as safe as the new A4.

For starters if Alfa is content with being in 2nd place, then sure it should go after the M3, however we all know the BOSS is the C 63 right now...

Secondly, the interior is not great but then again...neither is Bimmer's so maybe they are just going for 2nd best

Lastly...I try to end on a positive, the steering wheel looks great

It looks great - much better than Maserati's offerings.

To me the whole car feels like Dodge designed it almost like this was to be a car between the Dart and Charger and then at the last moment they made it an Alfa.

Aside from Alfa's horse collar grille, nothing inside or out says the car is Italian. I would specifically have told Alfa's interior designers NOT to look to Audi for inspiration. Cold and sterile is NOT Italian. As nice as Audi's interiors can be, they are rather clinical when all is said and done. I'd have had them examine at and emulate the mechanical look of a Pagani interior. An Alfa Romeo should be a bit old school inside.

These are also NOT the first images of the interior by any stretch of the imagination either.

I agree - the switchgear is the same that I have in my new Chrysler mini-van - and the biggest problem is that the Speedometer is offset so far to the right that when you have your hands a 10/2 - you cannot read the thing. The steering wheel looks like the Dodge sport as well. But then - BMW does not impress with its interiors either. The real question will come when you can actually drive a more regular example.

I wonder if this is going to a protracted, take-forever-to-get-to-the-US-market disaster like the Jaguar XE's launch.

The Giulia can win by over delivering on the price or delivering as much for less. I'm quite curious to see pricing.

If it's a hoot to drive--like I think it will be-- and if pricing can be a bit advantageous, I really see a lot of people lining up for leases.

Agree on the lower price too. However - FCA is looking for more profit centers now that it is spinning off Ferrari - so I suspect it will not be significantly cheaper - and with Cadillac discounting their offerings greatly - it needs to be at least somewhat less.

The question remains - did they hit the target audience well enough to get them to buy it. Cadillac didn't

Cadillac hit the mark dynamically with the ATS without any question. The problem is styling that does not wow and a name that has no meaning. Thankfully Jockitch de Nutsack will rename it the CT2 because that is sooooooo much more meaningful.

Well the double hooded dials and steering say "Alfa" to me. The dash vent and center console between the seats say a little "Audi". I also like that the dash does not seem to have a million buttons and switches like some of the German competition do. However carbon fiber in a luxury car leaves me questioning a bit. It kind of cheapens it for me.
Overall, however, it does not seem too bad.

I think it look great. My only angst would be the price and durability.
