When I toured the 2015 New York Auto Show, I have to come clean: I fell in love. That's because the all-new Porsche Boxster Spyder was sitting there in its full glory.
I wasn't the only one. The chief designer of an unnamed supercar manufacturer was quite stirred by the Boxster Spyder as well.
Now powered with a 3.8-liter six-cylinder from the 911 and equipped with an easier top than on the last-gen Boxster Spyder, has Porsche finally built the best Boxster yet? Well, if you're into the
pure thing, then yes. If you want the latest whiz-bang technologies and a PDK transmission, this isn't the Boxster for you.
Hell, it may even be better than the much loved, all-new Cayman GT4. That's because while the Boxster Spyder may be down a bit on horsepower, it is actually lighter. That means it is a bit faster in a straight line.
