FIRST Impressions Of The All-New Mercedes-Benz C-Class Coupe — You May Want To Wait On This One To Debut
Although I think I made it abundantly clear that the Mercedes-Benz C-Class is current class leader, let me reiterate. If you do NOT get the C-Class, you're probably making a bad decision.

Just my two cents though.

For those of you who think the C sedan is a bit too compressed and a bit too "stumpy," we're pretty sure the all-new C-Class Coupe, which clearly is inspired by the S-Class Coupe, will fix that. Though the C Coupe is expected to debut at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show (IAA), some lucky European-based publications had the chance to pilot some development cars and give us their first impression.

While I don't want to give it all away, here's just a couple paragraphs giving you some hints that should give you an idea of what to expect when the C-Class Coupe becomes real.

...The engine fires to a muted idle, with the sports exhaust providing a bassy undertone. The 241bhp 2.0-litre unit responds snappily on the driver’s commands; the seven-speed automatic switching ratios quickly, retaining the composed nature of the saloon...

...The chassis
is tuned differently to the four-door, too, with a fractionally shorter rear axle, while wheel sizes range from 17 to 19 inches. The sports suspension of the prototype parried the bumps well but the more that was asked of the Coupe, the more it took on the character of a sports car...

I can already tell this thing will be a stunner. The C Class Coupe may actually be the perfect canvas for Merc's new design language and they finally gave the C Class coupe the classic Mercedes Proportions that will make this thing an instant classic like the S Class Coupe.

Kudos Benz...well for those of you waiting on a deal, wait no longer as your local Mercedes Dealers will be stockpiling pre-owned 4 series, A5's, G37/Q50's, and more!

The Champ is here...

Hey man, just FYI, you're starting to sound like the Benz version of GermanNut. Might want to back it down a couple notches.

Hahaha...oh you all always manage to give me a good laugh...but guess who else is laughing to the Bank...Mercedes Benz

And MDarringer perhaps you should invest in stocks in Companies on the uptick too, Daimler just paid some nice dividends to its stockholders if I do say so myself...and it's Direct Deposit...waiting for the mail is so 90's

Anyways, while MDarringer hates Merc's design language and thinks it's sooooo wrong...apparently he's in the minority's because the sales charts say something completely different

Watch n Learn, Benz will show you how to demolish the competition in one fellow sweep...

@JRobUSC, the difference between my praise of Benz as of late, and Germannut's worship of Audi is simple...

One of the 2 companies can actually back it up and have not launched disappointing Q7's/A4's

I call it like I see it, praised the S a Class when it first came out, Benz can't keep them
In stock...praised the C Class...Alabama's plant is running overtime...was not crazy about the GLE coupe...which is I'll likely see the same sales as the X6, and praised the GLC, which will knock it out of the park

I'm a say it like I mean it type of guy

Car4Life, you've got my vote.

He really is calling it how he sees it. Good on ya!

Mercedes loves butts that look like infants with loaded diapers and the look stinks. The droopy butt is disgusting, but it will sell to people who have taste only in their mouths and who think bling is tasteful...like all Mercedes do.

"jealousy is the best form of flattery", it eats you up that you have to settle for selling Fords, LoL!

I do like the different styling direction Benz is taking with this. I think it may differentiate itself from the rest of the field, stylistically. The A5/4Series/ATS coupe have all taken a "traditional" coupe approach, so it might be an advantage for Mercedes to be a bit more distinct. Only time and sales will tell if this is a good or bad approach.

I think it will work.

Everyone is pining over the S-Class Coupe and this will really mimic that design from its ass-end.

@USNA1999 - Watch it with the "selling" car comment about MDarringer. He doesn't sells car, he has "stakes" in dealerships and he actually turned down MB dealership offers. He only peddles, oops sorry, he only has stakes in FCA dealerships.

As much as I do think the C-Coupe will find success, I'm actually more excited to see where Benz goes with the E-coupe, and its AMG variant.

Great point!

It'll be interesting to see if the company makes the E Coupe something more emotional and evocative, or if it just sticks to the latest design language.

The all-new E is not going to be a unique looking vehicle any more.
