OOPS?! The Mercedes-Benz C-Class Coupe Is FULLY Undressed Before Its Frankfurt Motor Show (IAA) Unveil — FIRST Pics HERE!
Although Mercedes-Benz has yet to release the fully banana surrounding its all-new C-Class Coupe, it appears that a publication abroad may have jumped the gun. Either that or the three-pointed star gave them the go ahead to release these images.
In a bizarre comparison test against the Ford Mustang, Auto Bild has published about a handful of images that show the all-new Mercedes-Benz C-Class Coupe doing the full monty.
Yes, I just made a reference to a particularly bad late 1990s film from the U.K.
As I've noted in previous posts, it's very clear that the back end of the vehicle is inspired by the all-new S-Class Coupe. To be honest, it rips off the S-Class Coupe. While that may be a bit of a bummer if you just plonked down over six figures to get into an S Coupe, it is going to be pretty killer if you want to shed around $40,000 USD. Now you too will look like you've rolled up in an S.
I could go on, but I'd rather leave you to take a look at this all-new C-Class Coupe. Have a look below!

The face us truckish. The tail could be from a Honda. The interior is ugly as sin.

So dramatic...this car is already taking a DUMP on the competition, and I can't wait to see it on the street, another home run Benz

It's a car I like to see on the road, but would never own. Still looks too frumpy for me. And the rear air vents aft of the rear wheels look too sporty and out of place for a more mature/conservative design.

and Mercedes quest to take away Audi's title of "brand whose cars are completely impossible to tell apart from one another" is almost complete.

BMW, Audi and Mercedes are the top three selling luxury car brands in the world and so they probably know a little something about whether this strategy is a a good idea or not.

You can criticize all of the Germans for creating look-alike models in their lineup, but I think you have to give credit to Mercedes for being the only one that seems to have any interest in moving designs forward. Audi seems to be moving backwards. BMW is putting new front-ends and tail-ends on the same middle boxes. Benz is actually spending time to truly DESIGN their cars and, whether you like the designs or not, or feel the models look too similar, you have to acknowledge that much.

The iPad on the dash really takes away from the interior... they're putting it everywhere. I'm sure the car is beautifully made, but beautiful its not....

Gorgeous car and will likely look that much better on the road. Definitely differentiates itself from the low-front, high-rear looks of the A5/4/ATS coupe, but looks very classy and elegant, unlike the RC. However, I do agree that, in pictures, anyway, it looks too closely aligned to the S-Class coupe.

Based on spy shots, the new A5/S5 will not be much of a departure from today's model. The greenhouse/profile is essentially unchanged. New front-end and rear-end design will happen and new interior ala the new A4. But a completely evolutionary design it will be.

I am another that would like the screen that is tacked on top of the dash to go away. I'm not keen on them rising up from the dash, but I'd far prefer that to these. My preference is that it resides within the dash itself, instead of sticking up like that. Looks fragile and potentially easy to damage.

I would prefer to see it retract like in my A6. when I don't want to see it, I press a button and I have a clean dash... classy... this sticky back planted tablet idea is horrible. And now the new A4 looks to have the same. I really hope the A5 doesn't follow suite. I would like to see it intergraded in the dash or retractable. The TT and new R8 have the look, they should follow that. Benz did a good job with the interior but that screen is an eye sore.
