2016 Chevrolet Camaro goes up for pre-orders in August

The 2016 Chevrolet Camaro pre-orders commence on August 13 in the USA, confirms a leaked document that has recently surfaced online. It also reveals production date for the all-new Camaro. The pre-order and production dates for Convertible model still remains a mystery though.

The delayed roll out of the SS will be a big issue for us.

When the Mustang came out we obviously couldn't keep them on the lot. The base V6--an amazing value--goes from arrival to PDI to owner at a remarkable speed. The Ecoboost Premium is another fast sale, but it been the full-boat GT 5.0 that created the biggest stampede at introduction and the thirst remains unabated.

The Mustang is a home run, but Mustang buyers won't buy Camaros and Camaro buyers won't buy Mustangs.

I'm a bit surprised that Chevy didn't see how the GT 5.0 went bonkers and made sure to fast track it. I suspect the Camaro will fly off the lot DESPITE the SS being delayed and that there will be a bidding war for the SS models.

I do know that I'm smiling for both the Mustang and Camaro.
