I for one I'm glad Toyota hasn't revisited the Supra. Because if and when they do, you know they will follow suit of all the other companies. It will replace sleek lines with a bathtub body, tiny slits for windows, and just generally look fat. Just about everyone has followed the lead set by the Audi TT, and it sucks.

The Supra already is fat.
It's certainly not an emotive design, and it looks weak with those skinny little A-pillars.

People forget that the supra was meant to be a GT sports coupe, not a rice rocket. Therefore, toyota failed in its plan for the supra, and the typical performance oriented buyer, porsche or BMW owners included, has no repect for a 25 year old kid with a 1000hp rice rocket that does 0-60 in 9 seconds. no one cares.

vcowman - a supra with 1000hp can do 1/4 mile in 9 seconds.

The TT should not be blamed for any design injustices, that is just disrespectful and ignorant.
It wasn't the TT that changed how cars look, it was the designers of their respective employers who used the TT as an influence.
I'd like to see a TT pick up a pencil and sketch all the cars that were post-1998.

I think the supra was a classic design - its a shame mostly they get remembered for looking like that ^^^^^

Whats wrong with the 'fat' trend? I like it. It makes car look sportier and sometimes muscular. Look at the aston martin v8 vantage, that looks kinda 'fat' and it looks good.

Of all the clean Supra pictures available on the net, Supra had to post a slightly riced-out version from TFTF.

I always loved the supra, I still think they look great even by today's standards. And the performance potential in them is insane. I'd love to find a gently used one, but I think that is getting harder and harder at this point.

I believe that is the Fast and the Furious Supra.

ALL YOU HATERS STOP HATING. JUST BECAUSE YOU DRIVE A PORSCHE AND A SUPRA CAME AND SPANKED YOU IN A RACE DOESNT MEAN YOU HAVE TO HATE. I WISH THEY MADE A NEW SUPRA

The supra was a popular car, but how many racing events has it won? Illegal street racing does not count. Unlike the 911 or the M3 it has no place as a legend in automotive history.
It was a ripoff of the twin turbo 993 911 and will always live under its shadow. It was the aftermarket that made the supra what it is known for today, not toyota.

vcowman i have a question??? where in hell do u live in, the fastest supra where i live goes in a exact time of 8.3 seconds in the 1/4 mile and has 900hp automatic and its street legal. The fastest Supra goes 7.9s Street legal n the fastest race Supra goes 6.3s. So go figure what ir means if u cant understand it. Oh and btw it has won numerous racing events, and just to make an example take the 1997 gt series where 7 of the first 10 car places where supras(top 3 where Supras if where wondering). They where kicking major a** so they gave them a 100lbs of penalty, still there where 4 in the next year. Bottom line is don't talk where u don't know what u r talking, n if u r wondering, yes i love the supra, yes i've seen it in action and YES i've driven 1.

"It was the aftermarket that made the supra what it is known for today, not toyota."
turbo supras were available new from toyota.
it was a fast car that could easily be made EVEN FASTER with aftermarket kits, due to toyota RELIABILITY and an exceptionally ROBUST stock engine.
