Rendering Shows Porsche Could Succeed In Making The New Pajun Just As Homely As The Panamera

Porsche could show an all-electric concept car at the Frankfurt motor show this September, as a precursor to launching its Pajun executive saloon around 2017-18.

According to reports in the French media, Porsche will preview the production Pajun with a ‘connected’ concept which measures 4.8m in length - making it shorter than the 5.0m-long Panamera.

I don't find it homely at all. It looks very similar to the 2012 concept, which is a good thing.

Why must every Porsche look like the 911? The 914, 924, 944, and 928 show that other directions are capable for being quite popular as all four of those models did quite well.

"...Why must every Porsche look like the 911? ..." I guess droopy butt cars sell well.

So did the 914, 924, 944, and for a few nanoseconds the 928.

Count me as one who likes the Panamera's exterior styling. Inside is a different story, with far too many identical looking buttons on the center console.

Porsche has demonstrated a lack of design creativity.
They appear to be obsessed with the shape of the sausage (bratwurst). For years, their cars resemble the iconic fatty food and now the Pajun suffers the same unflattering form.

IF Porsche were now asked to design a new chocolate candy bar - it would look just like this. Porsche considers its basic design as a classic - and so it will not stray far from that now aging and old design. And as long as they sell all the cars they can make - nothing will change until they have sales problems.

Porsche has decided that the 911 is their corporate identity. Like every Mercedes BMW and Audi/Jaguar corporate identity appears paramount in distinguishing one car maker from another. Ford suffers from it as well. As for Porsche, as long as the cars are selling why change?
