AUTO SPIES WORLD EXCLUSIVE: First photos of this limited edition BMW M6

While I was in Munich, one of my internal BMW moles ran across a confidential document that said BMW is getting ready to launch their 'individual' program in the United States next month at the Miami auto show.

After some further investigation in France, I caught these photos of the new BMW M6 convertible 'individualized' with check this...a REAL leather convertible top!!!!

Yes, real leather...I personally examined it to make sure.

Now that's hot!!!

it's Definately a good Idea

Real Leather Soft Top is IMO the best option for an expensive Vehicle, My only concern is if the Leather will stand up well to the effects of weather like the current Polymer fabrics do ??

Another thing is the Stretch-Shrink factor, these hoods have to be flexible and im not sure how good Leather is at this.

These cars are destined to be in "collections" and garage queens... I honestly don't think most of these buyers will be driving their special M6 very hard or often.

I think it's safe to say that this car is at the top of my dream list. I've never been a fan of convertibles (especially not the 6 convertible...love the coupe though), but if I were to go with one, it would have a leather top like this if a hard-top wasn't an option (which it isn't).

The M6 coupe is by far one of the best looking car's from BMW, and on the road today. It's one of the best all around GT's on the road, and the best performing one if i'm not mistaken.

500hp V10 in a car that can be driven like a race-car, or comfortably like a luxury sedan...Luxury car buying doesn't get much better than this!

A leather convertible roof, for people with more money than brains. Hmmm. Maybe BMW has their market pegged perfectly :-/

(PS: I have 4 BMWs in the garage, all pre-Bangle, and I love 'em all. So no, I am not a BMW hater. I'm just not pleased with what rolling out of Munich nowadays)
