SPIED: FIRST Pics Of The Next-Gen Porsche's Panamera INTERIOR — Porsche Taking Interiors In A NEW Direction?
When the first-generation Porsche Panamera debuted it was a bit deal. Not only did the storied German sports car manufacturer decide to build a four-door sedan, it also decided to up the ante when it came to its interiors.

Before the Panamera, Porsche's interiors were just OK. After the Panamera, it became clear one of the company's main focuses was on interior quality and ergonomics. It seems the second-gen Panamera will follow suit, but in a different fashion.

While the first-gen ushered in the raised center console so drivers could easily tap buttons of their desire, it seems that the second-gen car will benefit from a flatter center console. As it is pretty well disguised, we have no idea if the company will stick to its button-centric approach or follow suit of Audi, BMW and Mercedes-Benz with various touch-sensitive or gesture-based controls.

In addition, please note the second-generation Panamera's all-new door card. If you ask me, it appears to integrate wood and aluminum in a more sophisticated fashion than previously seen. Should be interesting to see the end result.

Maybe it's primed for a 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show (IAA) debut?

...Most notable is a brand new centre console, indicating Porsche may be looking to update the cabin architecture of its saloon. New wooden-clad surfaces can be seen in these latest pictures, complete with a new, larger gear lever.

Based on a new, advanced rear-drive and all-wheel-drive platform, dubbed MSB, the Panamera will incorporate multiple weight-saving measures and an all-new family of V6 and V8 petrol engines that promise a muscular power delivery to cement the Panamera’s position as the world’s sportiest premium saloon...

Spoiler alert: Even though the article alleges it has picture of the new interior, the virtually useless image you see above is about as much as they reveal. Almost all the pics are exterior pics.

What I dislike about the current Panamera is the explosion of buttons.

MDarringer: The explosion of buttons... that all look identical and are arranged in two long rows. That makes a bad situation ever worse. Yeah, it's a problem.

Another, equally serious problem is getting rid of most of the buttons and replacing them with menus and screens and scrolling lists on a computer screen. Sure, it looks tidier, but from a human interface standpoint, it's even worse than rows of identical buttons.

Almost nothing to judge by. Certainly nothing in evidence that they are doing anything revolutionary with the interior.

I like the fake fur accents that Porsche will obviously be offering.

Buttons are always superior to menus. Look in any commercial jet cockpit.
