RENDERED SPECULATION + RUMOR: All-New Information Points To A MUCH BETTER Next-Gen BMW 4-Series Convertible
In recent years we've seen BMW take its 3-Series convertible, soften it up a bit and add folding metal roof. Now known as the 4-Series for nomenclature reasons that still don't exactly make sense — look at the 4-Series Gran Coupe and 2-Series mini van thing — it's still a favorite for those who like to have fun in the sun.

But purists have stuck to their guns and derided it for the vehicle's weight as well as limited storage capacity. It seems that the word may have spread up the corporate ladder because the latest rumor on the street is that the next-gen 4-Series due out around 2020 will feature a fabric roof. According to some sources "a decision has already been made." Not only will it save space, the Bavarians are said to be making a point to sport up the next-gen 4-Series.

Although details are not known at this point, some have suggested that the all-new construction technology seen in the all-new, 2016 BMW 7-Series will be trickling down to its more mainstream products. Not only would that be brilliant for fuel efficiency, we're thinking this will help make the vehicles become a bit more connected and sporting like they used to be.

As you can in our cover image, some folks have already started guessing what it will look like, but honestly, it's pure speculation at this point.

Just start saving. You will need an easy $95K to drive a new M4 convert off the dealer's floor.
Even though the Euro is toilet paper against the dollar, the Germans are screwing Americans over by still raising prices through the roof in spite of their own weak currency.

1 - The Question about the 7 series technology is what it COSTS. An M4 Convertible is already approaching $100,000 - at what point does it just become too expensive for its size. And how much will adding this new technology cost - or is it possible that using a cloth top is a cost savings?
2 - The question of usable room is one that is coming up for other makes as well (Cadillac SPRINGS to mind). They remove the spare tire - and still make the trunk smaller - supposedly to save weight - for better mileage. But for the class of people who can afford to BUY these cars, enough space for two Golf Bags is not "Optional". And they don't want them in the back seat either.
