SPIED + VIDEO: Suburban Families REJOICE! REFRESHED Mercedes-Benz GLS-Class SPOTTED With LESS Camo
The Mercedes-Benz GL-Class is arguably one of the best full-sized luxury sport-utility vehicles on the market right now. When it first debuted some auto rags were falling all over themselves to bow to it. Personally, I am not quite sure why.

Anyhow, if you're in the market for suburban family shuttle and you're starting to do some research, check this out. Mercedes' refreshed GLS-Class will be coming down the 'pike pretty soon. We know this because not only has it been getting spotted quite a bit in recent weeks, the camouflage is at a bare minimum.

Maybe it's getting primed for a 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show (IAA) debut? Could it be the 2015 Los Angeles Auto Show? We're hoping it's not the 2016 Detroit Auto Show.

Expected to get the typical once over on its front and back ends, the GLS is likely to receive the latest three-pointed star engines that will bump up power and fuel efficiency. In addition, word on the street suggests that a plug-in hybrid and a Maybach variant will also be in store.

World premiere: the new Mercedes GLS (former GL X166) almost undisguised!

Refresh? What did MB do, add a new shade of black? Waste of time . . .

Hopefully the refresh will address what I, as a very satisfied owner of a 2013 GL350 Bluetec, flag as really the only major failing in the vehicle - the brakes are a bit sub-par.

The GL's brakes fade, the rotors warp, the peddle is sometimes mushy, they are completely undersized for the vehicle.

Yes, that might be because I choose the 'entry-level' GL - but still the BRAKES SUCK.

Not like life-threatening or anything - but the brakes on my S550 are fantastic; my BMW 328iC brakes - fantastic; the GL brakes are a cut below - they are Toyota or GM quality. Lexus have sucky brakes too but then that might not be a surprise.
