PEBBLE BEACH Sneak! Donald Isn't The ONLY One TRUMPING The Competition This Week
The past month has been a pretty interesting one with Donald Trump making some BIG waves in the political arena. The GOP can't seem to wrap their head around how a man with a bad haircut and a significant net worth is so far ahead in the polls at the moment.

Similarly, it seems that Hyundai is looking to make a BIG splash at this year's Monterey Weekend. The piece de resistance is the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance, which is a big-time annual event where the manufacturers have been displaying all-new concepts in recent years.

Hyundai Concept G

This afternoon Agent 001 buzzed me and let me know that he would be attending the unveiling of Hyundai's all-new Concept G tonight in SoCal. He forwarded me the initial photographs below and right now he's at the event snapping away furiously in true AutoSpies fashion.

Stay tuned for a slew of high-quality photographs later tonight!

Front and side are amazing (A+). Tail is odd (B-). Previewing themes for the next Equus? Yes I know this is a 2 door.

The tail looks like a drug addict did it. It's just odd and unfinished and almost crude.

Much more interesting than the Prologue. Good job, Hyundai, now let's get this to production.

If they are going to crib a Caddy's tail, then graft on that of the Elmiraj.

Korean? Well, not buying then.

But the Korean cars are at least far more visually appealing and priced right, compared to Fukushima cars, uhhh... sorry I meant to say Japanese cars.

My next company car was to be a Genesis, but a customer bought it, which beats me driving it for free, putting miles on it, and selling it in a few months as a used vehicle. I then picked out a Chrysler 200 for my 3 month test drive, but that got sold out from under me too. So now I'm scouring incoming options. As for the Hyundais...My brother-in-law and his father moved from a Mercedes E and S Class to a Genesis and an Equus as an experiment. My brother in law is on his second Genesis lease and loving it. His dad is hoping for a transformation when the new Equus comes out, but he has not regretted going a different route. The Equus isn't at refined as the S Class which costs double, but the difference in refinement isn't a $50K difference. I've also spent 3 months in a Kia K900 and very much liked it.

Look at the seams in the rear end views. Is that a hatchback?

I see Aston Martin DB5 hints looking straight on from the rear, especially the glass.
