Volkswagen Loses Over 1000 New Vehicles In Chinese Blast

The chemical explosion in China left forty-four people dead and hundreds injured, not to mention the thousands of brand new Volkswagens that were waiting to be shipped from the port of Tianjin.

This Chinese source claims the list of damaged vehicles includes:

1065 Touaregs
114 Golfs
391 Beetles
84 up!s
257 Tiguans
39 SportsVans
28 Magotans (locally built Passats) and 770 “Specials”, whatever those might be.

The images of the blast were horrific. The article is concluded stupidly. It says "these things happen all the time". So, a 3 ton TNT blast is a normal occurrence in China?
