2016 Mercedes AMG C63 Coupe Images Leak Out - Who Should Run For Cover?

These are the first images of the Mercedes-AMG C63 Coupé, which have leaked ahead of the car's planned debut at the Frankfurt motor show later this month.

The pictures, which were first published on Zero2Turbo, clearly show the top-spec C63 S model in production-ready form. This leak follows a string of official teaser pictures revealed by Mercedes-Benz in the run-up to the car's unveiling. It's expected to go on sale early next year.

LIES....the only ppl who should be running re the sales people who have to handle these pre orders!

This thing is a nice departure from the boy racer rivals and predecessor, it looks suave and more like a tailored suit.

The only thing remotely bland about it is this pic in white.

Put this thing in silver, black, red, or even yellow and watch it out class and out shine the competition at the same time

LIES AGAIN.... I told you those funds come directly deposited in the form of dividends, you should try investing some.

2nd you better count me and close to 150,000 ppl as that's the number of new owners that made Benz the #1 selling luxury brand globally last month.

It's good to be a fan as long as the entity is giving you something to consistently fan about.

When I look around I currently do not see ONE manufacturer serving the market from low end to high end like Benz and that's to be admired

It's not that it looks bad. It just looks too close to the C class coupe. And the carbon fiber spoiler looks cheap being glued on rather than an integral part of the trunk lid.

Seriously, this looks absolutely phenomenal. The wider fenders gives this car a whole new road presence and the power bulges on the hood adds so much more character. Yes the non-AMG coupe looks sleek, but this thing looks beastly in a good way! I need this car.

I'm liking it, except for the headlights. If someone said this came from Lexus, I'd be applauding it as a winner. Unfortunately, it doesn't make me think of "Mercedes". Nothing MB turn out today speaks "Mercedes" to me.

TheSteve writes- "Nothing MB turn out today speaks "Mercedes" to me."

Well let me help you out bud, today's MB sports grill, is a direct nod to the grill that adorned their sports cars of the 50s-70s including one of the most iconic cars of all time, the gullwing 300SL.

Their lead lights a large one of the largest in the game especially compared to the now squinty Audi,Acura, Lexus, BMW, and ect lights which are a bit of a nod to the 80's and 90's when Benz had the largest rectangular headlights around.

You mentioned Alexus which is interesting because Lexus began their career following directly in Benz footsteps even naming their first generation and 2nd LS a Japanese S Class.

Lastly there are no Nike swooshes, predator grills, or mid matched body panels, it's one cohesive design which is rare in the industry today.

Hope that helps!

TheSteve is right and so is Matt. Though Mercedes is killing it, and their cars are terrific, they have lost it in their styling, IMO. The 80's 300 Series, the fabulous W124 and my new acquisition a pristine 1989 W126 with 40K miles. Those my friends are Mercedes-Benz cars. This joker car the CLA, sure they're selling but Mercedes cars are not really special anymore. I remember a buddy in 1994 who worked for P&G in Cincy, he got a new E320 and took me for a ride. I couldn't believe how successful he was, so young. It was an amazing car and experience. The AMG-GT, and some of their other cars that only a few can possess, OK they're fantastic cars but are they special? I say no... there are other cars just like them from other makers. The W124 and W126 were the last of the cost is no object engineered Mercedes-Benz cars. From all the other cars available, they were very special. Now all cars are nearly identical in their technology and build quality. Whats left is styling and Marketing. This car has more cache than the previous model, but its not special...

Lol W124E320 while no one is denying the fact that the W124/W126 weren't excellently engineered cars, please don't get it twisted when it comes to design.

Publications at that time were calling the series boring and predictable and an ill departure from the 50's/60's when Mercedes took risk and was somewhat controversial with the gullwing and fintail.

I LOOOOVE this bold new Benz sparking debates like these with love it or hate it designs like the CLA. It makes the automotive world exciting and obviously sales.

If you want boring, predictable designs, perhaps you should visit your local Audi dealer and let Benz continue to kill the game they invented.

Design and aesthetics are obviously subjective. Clearly Mercedes' current design approach is resonating with buyers, otherwise they wouldn't have been #1 globally last month. And everyone talking about it like it's a new design direction. The grille has been in existence in previous forms for decades. The shape of this new C, specifically, the profile and greenhouse, can be traced back to the first CLK.

The rear of this C63 Mercedes is looking way too similar to the Audi rear design.

if it leased as well as an m4, i think id be swayed to get one. the c63 is a beast, but id rather get an m4 at 900 with free maintenance over the c63 for 1k+
