Honda Hopes Facelift Will Help Slow Selling CR-Z, But Is Styling The REAL Reason It Doesn't Sell?
Honda Motor Co. hopes a facelift will give a sales lift one of its weakest entries: the CR-Z sporty hybrid.

A revamped version will go on sale in Japan in October and is expected to hit U.S. showrooms sometime the following month.

The update gets a more sculpted front fascia with a wing-like lip that cups the grille and flares around enlarged fog lights.

It's a mistake for Honda not to put a gasoline-powered, higher-performing engine that gets decent mileage. The problem with this hybrid is that it doesn't get phenomenal range and it isn't sporty enough. So it's not offering the best of either world.

So, Honda, you need to make the decision. Put a potent 4-banger with a sports suspension, and a typically-magical Honda 6-spd OR make it a 60mpg very competent yet not exactly sporty 2-seater.

it doesnt sell because its a 2 seater !! had this car been a full 4 seater or good 2+2 im pretty sure people would be more interested. when you get a raw sports car ( viper, vette, lambo, ferrari among others ) you dont mind a 2 seater as a weekend car.
when a car is as practical as the cr-z with great gas mileage it needs to be practical all around.
2+2 is a must !

The styling is vile and the hybrid drivetrain is truly terrible.
