Ahead Of It's Time? Pontiac Aztec Demanding Premium Prices On Used Car Market

Several discontinued vehicle models, including the Pontiac Aztek -- well known for its spot atop many lists of the ugliest vehicles ever and for its role in AMC’s “Breaking Bad” TV series -- are finding new life on the used-car market thanks to millennial buyers, an Edmunds.com analysis found.

The Dodge Magnum station wagon, which Chrysler discontinued in 2008, had the highest rate of millennial car buyers of any used vehicle this year through June, an Edmunds study of Polk data released today showed. Very interesting. The Aztec was definitely a car ahead of its time, design-wise. It had loads of objective issues such as being hilariously ponderous but in terms of the visuals it had a lot of interesting things going on.

I find it quite ugly. However, I find the Juke and Cherokee similarly ugly and they seem to sell just fine right now. An "updated to 2015 design sensibilities" Aztec would probably be very Juke-like indeed, if differently proportioned.

Also, guys, buy up all the Murano Cross-Cabriolets you can find so you can sell them at a markup in ten years once it gets featured as the hero car on an awesome tv show.
