If Hyundai Created A Super Car, Who Would Buy It?

Only a couple of weeks ago Hyundai unveiled its new high-performance N brand which is slated to produce high-powered Hyundais in the very near future. With the announcement, the Korean automaker released several teaser photographs of what has been dubbed the “N 2025 Vision Gran Turismo” concept that's set to debut in a few days at the Frankfurt Motor Show. However, as the name implies, the N 2025 Vision Gran Turismo concept is a virtual vehicle designed for the video game "Gran Turismo 6."

I'm pretty sure nobody in North America. Hyundai is a brand associated with practical "value" vehicles. It's like a VW branded supercar costing $250,000.

Of course - the problem with the question is - we do not know the price range the car would be in. Another DOWNMARKET car brand - Chevrolet - does quite well selling a $100,000 Corvette that competes well with other supercars. While that is in part because of the price - but it still would not sell if it didn't deliver the goods.

There is a lot of talk about the Genesis coupe being recast as a Korean pony car aimed squarely at the Mustang/Camaro. More than likely that will be Hyundai's next sports car.

bahahahaha. Lexus couldn't even do a supercar well (see LF-A). Hyundai brand is the problem and NO heritage of racing or ultra performance. You have to start somewhere, and teaming with someone else would be the only way to begin to create credibility.
