Paris Autoshow Round Up: Trade Talk

Here is a short glimpse of the Paris Autoshow roundup provided by AutoNews Europe to attending journalists. It gives us a glimpse at a trade and marketing perspective of several manufacturers and a few show tidbits.

It is particularly interesting reading, as VW plans to market the new IROC directly against BMW in Europe, and several manufacturers are already targeting the new Audi R8.

that 3 series coupe looks sweeeeeeet
kudos to the c30, outlander, and cr-v for great looking models.
is it just me or are all cars starting to look like a tall wagon with various lengths. im sorry but i dont like this look and its getting to the point where its taking over. out of about 32 cars pictured, over half of them are that stupid looking wagon look.

oh yea i forgot to say that the lexus ls 600h is kind of plain looking. when will they realize that people buy cars on 5 basic catagoreys. and to alot of people styling is one of them. im not gonna knock their interiour but the cars are just dull like a thunderbird or...er...toyota. make something fat and mean, something sharp and lean, and save one model to stay fat and plain (for the "walking dead" lol i love that.) seriously i was dropping off a car at the toyota dealership and the place looked like Gods waiting room.

I saw the new 3 Series coupe on the road (it was pretty far away, but I'm sure it was a 335i and not a 328i). It was in a nice dark-ish grey color, and it's stunning. Somehow both more elegant and agressive than the last generation.
