#IAA: REAL-LIFE Pics Of The All-New Mercedes-Benz C-Class Coupe — Is Audi, BMW, Cadillac, Lexus All In A World Of TROUBLE?
As I've been sure to note over the past months, Mercedes-Benz is just killing it. Talk about a company delivering killer products to the market and is raising the benchmark with every all-new debut.

The C-Class is one of the company's latest models and had me earlier this year GUSHING over the C400 sedan. Why? Well, to put it simply, it's just that damn good.

**Read MORE about the Mercedes-Benz C300 Coupe HERE!

But with the last-generation C the company expanded this model range into the world of coupes. It sold well. So, why not follow it up? Cars like the Audi A5, BMW 4-Series, Cadillac ATS Coupe and Lexus RC exist and move units. This is where the C-Class Coupe comes into the picture.

Being unveiled for the very first time to the public, Agent 001 made sure to make his way over to the Mercedes stand to snap away for YOU. Painted a matte hue, it certainly looks menacing but we're curious: Do YOU think that this all-new C will make serious trouble for Audi, BMW, Cadillac and Lexus' latest efforts? Or, is there enough pie for everyone to eat at the table?

What say you, Spies?

As a long term bored 3 series lover I hope this wakes up BMW to get its design juices flowing to create a 3 and 4 series car I actually will want to put my hard earned money down to buy. Nothing is better for consumers and enthusiasts then competition and MB seems to have raised the bar on design, quality and engine output. Your move BMW.

The C Coupe is OK looking but far from a stunning beauty.

Agreed - and coupes sell in low volumes after an initial thrust. With a limited market - it makes little difference - there will be room for the ones named and a few missing. However - Mercedes is one manufacturer that did what I recommended for Cadillac - they actually studied THEIR market and those who actually buy THEIR cars - and found that Luxury was more important than SPORT. So they upgraded their interiors - and added settings for a more luxurious ride - and went after the LUXURY car market - instead of the small sports sedan market - where BMW holds the title right now.

Given Mercedes reclaiming its status as Best Selling Luxury Brand globally for the last couple of months, it's already put the industry on notice...Its new Line Up, which includes the C Class, sends the message that "playing it safe" no longer keeps you "safe".

The C Class was entirely reworked, redesigned, and reengineered from the inside out, a calculated risk that Mercedes is currently reaping the benefits of

It always depends on how it drives, but I think it looks fantastic. I would get rid of the over busy front LEDs, but it looks like I'm going to have to accept these from all car manufacturers for the next several years, so MB's isn't any worse than all the rest. I'm ready to test drive the C450 when it's available. As Pugproud puts it above, maybe it will force BMW to bring steering feel back to the 4 series, and improve it's interior parts quality to compete.

It does nothing for me.....Too plain and the front scoops are way oversized.

why does BMW and MB use those stupid plastic roof strips where the roof and side panels meet ? it is hideous, AUDI is all integrated. Makes the car looks cheaper

A5 is still a beautiful design over this

The C Coupe will be incredibly successful. Much like the sedan, I think it's going to take this segment to another level on all fronts. It's going to give buyers exactly what they truly want: spirited (not necessarily overtly sportly) driving dynamics, incomparable interior, luxurious demeanor, and fresh/stand-out styling. From an exterior design perspective it separates itself from the 3-box crowd. From an interior design perspective it raises the bar a level or two.

The previous C-Coupe looked like the sedan with two less doors and it had little presence on the road. This one will definitely have a different impact, which will resonate with buyers.

The back looks like and old SC400....

Looks like a smaller, uglier GM A-Body from the late 60's early 70's. Hate the iPad dash and the car is just not pretty... the flat paint is horrible too. I like the previous model better..

it is pretty good looking car, yet ALOT smaller than the BMW 4-series. Interior room looks similar to the 2-series.

How is it "A LOT" smaller than a 4? The outgoing C coupe was within 1.5-2 inches of the 4 Series dimensions. The new C is about 1.5 inches wider, almost 4 inches longer, with over 3 inches longer wheelbase.

Yes, the rear seat headroom may be most compromised due to the roofline, but who uses the backseat of coupes on a consistent basis? Trust me, I'm not giant, and it's a pretty tight fit for me in the backseat of my 4GC.

Very easily. Just because the dimmensions may be an inch or two difference with the Mercedes having more, doesnt mean that equates into interior room. Case in point the C-class is technically 0.5" taller, yet has over 2" Less headroom than the 3-series ...

If you look at the dimmensions of the C-class coupe, it is quite a bit smaller in size in the interior. I get it not everyone is using the back seats in a couple all the time, yet having extra space for the occasional rear seat passenger is pretty nice. Actually, the interior dimmensions see to be on par with a 2-series. For the price differences I would tak

no one is sitting in the back seat or could remotely fit back there. At least with a 4-series you could, even the Audi A5 has more room back there.

technically the C-class has only 1.2" longer wheelbase over the 3-series. Yet the BMW 3-series has more headroom, a little more legroom, more cargo capacity, is Alot quicker & more fuel efficient. Apparently Mercedes designers were much more interested in the external design of the car. It is a very sharp car at that. As is the C-class coupe, yet since the rear seats are useless why not just make it a 2-seater?

Actually, US publications, including Mercedes' website has the headroom in front listed incorrectly, or at least it appears so. The German-published measurement shows front-seat headroom as 1039 mm, or 40 inches, equal to the 3 Series. The German-published measurement shows rear-seat at 942 mm or 37.1, exactly what US shows and exactly what the 3 Series measures.

that still shows it with a little less headroom in front, little less legroom in back, less trunk capacity, less fuel efficient and ALOT slower than the competitive BMW. Thus justifying my point. The C-class Coupe is a good deal smaller on interior space than the 4-series coupe.

If I were in the market for a new car, I'd get this over the 4 series. To me, it looks more exciting in & out.

The only thing I have a problem with is the LED strip lights, they look out of place. I am looking for the C45 AMG coupe which is pretty much what this is. The stupid Ipad center console isn't good either but I say this car is a winner.
