Once again the bean-counters at Nissan manage to shoot the company in the foot. As an employee at an Infiniti dealership I can't BEGIN to describe the disappointment we all feel. I have been associated with Nissan since the early '70's and their have become quite adept at screwing up. So we soldier on with a great product with no panache. Oh well, the American Motors of Japan.......so sad

@Nahmakanta Nissan was a screw up company from the get go and aside from the 240Z, the 510, and the GTR series, their products have always been dismal. When they formed an alliance with Renault (taken over is more like it given that Carlos Ghosn runs them), in no way did their product get better. if anything, things got worse.

I honestly do not know why people buy Nissans. They aren't especially reliable or durable.

It was the victim of being a cobbled-together "ship" storm. Given that Nissan transmissions are FRAGILE as hell in the 370Z and GTR, let's transplant GTR horsepower into a mass market car and butt thump ourselves out of business.
