#IAA: The Mercedes-Benz S-Class Cabriolet Is Here, So, What Do YOU Make Of It After Seeing The BEST Real-Life Pics?
I hate to use clichés but sometimes they're the only way to accurately describe a situation. Now, I hate to sound like a broken record, but we've been waiting for a Mercedes-Benz S-Class Cabriolet for quite some time now.
This is mainly because Mercedes originally showed a four-door convertible dubbed the Ocean Drive Concept. It created some big noise in the industry.
Unfortunately, it never materialized.

**Read the
Mercedes-Benz S-Class Cabriolet press release
HERE!
What we do have, however, is the former CL-Class now brought into the S-Class nameplate and voila(!) we have an S-Class Cabriolet. Of course it's in two-door form but beggars can't be choosy.
Mercedes has informed us that both an S550 and Mercedes-AMG S63 variant will launch in the U.S. As you'd expect they're the same vehicles as their coupe siblings just that there's some special engineering to really deliver that Mercedes experience.

The interior is ugly beyond belief.

Agree. I do not like the leather color matched dash. It's too much.

And yet, you don't find anything wrong with bland, boring interior of Hyundai and Lexus.
I believe you should send your resume to Hyundai or Toyota.

Can we please start a fundraiser for stronger prescription lenses/contacts for these legally blind members...
The S Class Cabriolet is like a fitted suit and will run rings around the BEntley Continental in more ways than one...

#TRUTH The interior of this car looks like a JC Penney suit.

It's beautiful, though the "backseats" are completely irrelevant.

What's with the puny, stupid-looking, rectangle exhaust outlets? Ruins the whole ass-end.

Whenever I see the coupe on the road its style and size blow me away. The convertible has got to be a winner for M-B. After I check the couch for some extra coin make mine a an S63 in gray with tan top and interior.

Why even bother with rear seats? Why not storage for golf clubs or something useful?

An S class cabrio should hold 4 adults. Seems crazy that it wouldn't.

did you see the rear seat room in the pictures? There is no way four adults will fit in the car. The only Convertible in the market that can actually seat 4 adults is the 4-series.
Mercedes S-class convertible is very sharp.

What a gorgeous car! To sit in the back you might have to amputate your legs.

It looks good from several angles, but I do not think it looks as nice as the standard S-Class Coupe or Sedan.

The S-Class Coupe is the best looking followed by the sedan. The convertible will never live up to those two simply because soft tops never look quite right.
The only convertibles that pull it off are the 911 and the Continental GTC, IMHO.
