#IAA: MORE Pictures Of Porsche's Newly Revamped 911 (991) — Do The SMALL Changes Make A BIG Enough Difference For YOU?
As the Porsche 911 has evolved over time, it's a game of inches not miles. With every generation there's a slight nip/tuck here, perhaps an increase in size there and an all-new addition over yonder.

These cars continue to push the boundaries with every new release. For the 991 generation, we're seeing the Mark II variant step out for the first time.

While we've shown you the newly revamped 911 previously, we wanted to take another dip and show you MORE real-life pictures of the refreshed car.

Check out 001's snaps for some pics of the vehicle's details. This includes things like the new rear grille, taillights, headlights, door handles, exhausts, steering wheel, etc.

The 911 is an icon. Fans appreciate it because it's "true to form", or consistent with the character of a 911. I don't believe they're looking for big changes or adoption of the latest fashion trends (e.g., sharp lines, flat surfaces, trapezoids). And I'm not talking about the views of "Porsche Purists," who assert that it's not a "real" Porsche unless it's running an air-cooled boxer engine.

It's one of the big reasons why the 911 is timeless, even though it bears some resemblance to a car that's decades old.

For the record, I don't aspire to own a 911, or any other Porsche, but I do admire the 911 for what it is!

911 crazies don't want change. Yes the 911 is a great car, but it's hardly in a class by itself. Yes, it's fast at the track, but a Stingray is MUCH easier to hustle around. A 911--even with all the electrocrap stability stuff--still will bite you. Yes, it's entertaining to drive, but I would never want to own one.

I think I might be the only person to have noticed a minor but important detail in the refresh (although it can't be seen in these pics). When I zoomed into some interior pics it looked like they switched the PDK shifting direction so that a shift into the next gear is a pull towards you on the gear shifter (like the 918 and GT3). Hard to believe they made that error to begin with but nice to see that it appears to be corrected (if I was able to the see the + and - correctly) on the refresh vs waiting until the next model.

The "Super Beetle" looks awesome as always. Anyone has a nice used one for sale?

Like the rear (new vent design and exhaust) but not the front. Time for Porsche to add a little design flair to side view in my opinion.

Nice. Not liking how the Porsche name and model is plastered onto the bumper and not the engine compartment lid.

as a kid i always hated the 911 because i felt they looked like ugly VW beetles. i just never understood the hype of a porsche. now many years later and probably for the last 15 years the brand has grown on me, and i cant wait to get a 911.
i see the beauty of the ugliness in the car and i hope they NEVER change the style. I like many of you, wanted for this ugly look to go away and wanted something revolutionary.
I changed my mind after seeing the jaguar XJ. while I hated the xj8 as a kid and felt it was such an old boring design, i absolutely loved the new TATA jag xj ..... for a couple of years !!!
now i feel the design is just like any other generic design and needs constant updating and actually miss the classic jag look. im sure if 911 got the same drastic change, it would kill the icon that the 911 is.

If you get any fast car--but especially a 911--get thee to performance driving school.

In fact, any one w/ 300 ponies or more should make it a habit to get track training. My guess is we would reduce accidents, especially fatal ones, by a wide margin.
