LEAKED! BMW's All-New X4 M40i Is The Brand's Latest M Performance Model — FIRST Pics + DETAILS!
For a bit of time it's been rumored that BMW's M Performance line would receive another model. It didn't take long for word to get around that BMW would bolster its M Performance lineup with another X vehicle.

Deciding to work with the X4, research and development vehicles were snapped here and there. But because the packaging wasn't entirely different than the X4 when equipped with the M Sport package, no one would confidently say that such an auto would come to fruition.

BMW X4 M40i

Turns out it did.

Yesterday, photographs as well as spec sheets for the all-new BMW X4 M40i leaked out. We found our chunk of information from Bimmer Today.

Equipped with a six-cylinder mill good for 355 horsepower and 343 lb.-ft. of torque, it clearly isn't anything to sneeze at. Zero to 62 mph is claimed to be 4.9 seconds and, yes, it is shod with Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires — you can't ask for better if you want GRIP.

No word on what transmission will be swapping cogs here, but we think it's most likely an eight-speed auto.

No word if this will make it to The States, but if I were a betting man I'd say it likely is given its motor and sport-utility vehicle body.

Scope out ALL the leaked images, below!

Such a useless, dumb-looking car. Sides look like something Chevy would put out.

They would have been smarter to use the 4 Series Gran Coupe for another M Performance car.

Completely agree. It's one of BMWs best looking cars. Or even a full M version.

Yes, I do wish they did an M4 Gran Coupe. It would probably cannibalize M3 sales, though, so I can see the hesitation. The M3, M4, and M4GC would pretty much be priced right on top of one another unlike the current disparity between the 3 and 4 Series.

Proportions still look awkward

With all that being said, BMW is still making a fortune off these vheicles and at the end of the day, that's all that matters...

What a dumping looking rear end. The front end is boring as it look exactly like every other BMW. Does BMW use rubber stamps to produce their cars?

Again , GLE Coupe have more space than the X6 so most likely the GLC Coupe will be more comfortable than this thing..but both are ugly...
