Paul Walker's Daughter Sues Porsche Claiming Carrera GT Is Unsafe - Is There More To It Than That?
Nearly two years after his tragic death, Paul Walker’s 16-year-old daughter, Meadow Walker, has filed a wrongful death lawsuit against Porsche. The suit alleges that Porsche "took safety shortcuts while loading the Carrera GT with a 605-horsepower engine capable of up to 205 mph and marketing it as a race car licensed for the road." The younger Walker’s suit also alleges that Porsche was fully aware that the Carrera GT has a history of instability yet still refused to add a control system to help manage the issue.

Let's sue gun manufacturers for the armed robberies, assaults, and murders committed with their products.

On a serious note, I believe people need to take accountability for their own decisions and actions. Otherwise, surrender to a wiser and more powerful nanny state who will make your decisions for you.

He and Rodas were driving about three times the posted limit of the road in question. ANY car would be in danger of going out of control if driven like Rodas was driving. The stupid girl just needs to get a clue and stop trying to make money off her father's death.

In addition to driving three times the posted speed limit, the investigation also found that the GT's suspension had been altered and tires had not been maintained to specification.

One can probably surmise that the attorneys convinced her that they had a case. Poor girl.

Did you guys even read the article and the points stated in the suit? Would highly recommend that to maintain objectivity instead of all the knee-jerk reactions I see.

Would you care to itemize what you feel are valid points?

For example, the article states "Walker’s suit also alleges that Porsche was fully aware that the Carrera GT has a history of instability yet still refused to add a control system to help manage the issue". A more factual way to say that is that if you drive the vehicle in a normal fashion at posted speeds on public streets, it will behave like a very well planted and very stable vehicle, but if you choose to engage in performance driving, which is best executed on a race track, you better be a talented driver because Porsche does not have technology to compensate for your lack of skills or training in this specific vehicle. I certainly hope that someone who buys a Porsche would not be ignorant of its widely-known character.

I'm curious what in the article makes you believe the lawsuit has merit.
