SPY SHOTS: Audi Q5 SUV

According to Hans Lehmann over at Hidden Image, the funky-looking wagon seen above will sit on a platform that consolidates elements from Audi’s next-generation A4 and A6, and is likely to be longer than the aforementioned X3, as well as rival Mercedes-Benz’s forthcoming GLK. The massively-flared test mule looks more like an Allroad on steroids than a proper SUV, but expect final bodywork to give mimic a Q7 that’s been run through the dryer on high heat.

as i said in the last thread about this it will also be allroad because allroad will still be part of A6 family just different platform as seen in images

Audi has already released the Allroad. This is the mule for the Q5 to be based on the next generation A4/A6 platform. I like the exaggerated fender flares. It looks cool in a funny way.

It does, but it is a mule. Current A4 body over the mechanics and engine of the Q5. With some flared fenders to boot.

awsomeaudi- mstangpny was joking because of the cartoonish-ness of the mule. I cannot believe you even took that seriously.

Audi hides their mules too well... I want to see what it really looks like! You can't even see the A5 (which may be released as soon as LA in November) because they covered it in silver plastic! And the new A8? Don't even try!

They're making an A1 replacement, most likely with a conventional steel frame. The ASF A2 made it way too expensive for people to buy it over the A3.

I saw a black Q7 4.2 Premium today, with matching black underpanels and the fabulous optional 19" wheels. It looked amazing, even for the beautiful Q7.

The Q7 is simply stunning on the road. I expect no less from the Q5.

The X3 isn't much to hope for. It's a POS and always has been. The X5 is just a much, much better car.

And the Q5 will be avaiable with a V8 as its highest engine, meaning it will be out of reach for X3 owners.

x3 isn't much to hope for, maybe not to you S4cabriofox, but Audi wishes they had a x3 to sell on their slow selling VW/Audi showroom, instead of those silly ass allroads. Audi is late to the SUV party, 777 U.S. aug. sales vs 3400 6 year old x5 sales is not impressive. Audi is for losers, with their late to market products.
