SPIED! 2016 KIA Optima — FIRST Real-Life Look At The BEST Looking Car In Its Segment
KIA is one of those brands that is hard to believe how far its come along. Just think 10 years back. Would you ever want to be caught dead in a Kia product? Flash forward to present day and they're pretty damn awesome.

And the concept vehicles are staggering. We've fallen for at least two, namely the GT4 Stinger and Niro.

2016 KIA Optima

One of the key nameplates that turned around KIA's image is the sedan dubbed the Optima. It's the company's bread and butter, and if you ask us there's plenty of reasons why that is the case. For one, just look at it.

While we know there's a lot of folks probably asking why it is not more differentiated from the 2015 model year product, here's one reason why: It was selling well, so, why fix something that isn't broken?

According to Agent 001 who just got back from Aspen, Colorado, the 2016 MY Optima is a significant improvement over the last-gen car. Overall, he tells me, it is more refined, can be equipped with technology typically seen in high-end luxury vehicles, gets over 30 mpg — in the mountains — with the 2.0-liter engine, and has a stellar interior for the class.

But seeing is believing, right Spies? Having said that, scope out 001's jaw-dropping photos from Colorado. You know, "a place where the beer flows like wine. Where beautiful women instinctively flock like the salmon of Capistrano. I'm talking about a little place called Aspen."

The Mazda 6 and Fusion are still better looking though the Optima is right behind them, ahead of the 200 and new Malibu, and much better than the Sonata and Camry.
The Optima's interior, though, has taken 2 steps backwards, just like most new Hyundais. It's a shame because the outgoing model's interior is one of my favorites at any price point.

I was thinking the exact same thing before I read this statement. Plus I feel this interior is one of the worst in the segment. I do feel the previous model's interior was poor too.

Title said best looking car in segment, then they show a KIA. Need to proof read better.

Wow, how original, vertical front vents like the Prius had a few years ago. I like the Audi steering wheel, goes nice with the VW daytime light design.

This Sherdreadyder guy doesn't even bother trying. Guess they didn't hire him for his ideas, just his white legitimacy.

The more cues they take from other companies, the less it looks like an Audi and more a mishmash of ripoffs.

Oh yeah, I don't think they included enough pictures (the taco ones were real relevant although they did look better than the car). Everyone else, 5 pics max. KIA/Hyundai, they do an entire photoshoot.

You mixed some 2015 model pics in there. I'm guessing from some angles, you could not tell the difference. Good looking car, but way to similar to the last one.
