LEAKED! Honda Fans, Rejoice! The 2016 Honda Civic's PRICING Is FULLY Revealed For The Masses
The Honda Civic is one of those vehicles that people just love to buy. For decades the Civic has been the go-to mode of transport for folks seeking something that got the job done reliability with some style.

Hell, even I drove one for a couple of years during college. While it was not the most rewarding vehicle, I do have fond memories of it just because it was a workhorse. It also was a hand-me-down after the other two rides I had were long gone.

In recent years though the volume seller lost its mojo. With competition nipping at its heels in form of the Toyota Corolla and Hyundai Elantra, Honda realized it needed to up the ante. And that's why the 2016 model year Civic has more swagger.

Of course if you saw our first foray into the all-new Civic you may have been left wondering: So, how much for this car with the capital "H?"

Well, now we know thanks to a leak uncovered by a forum dubbed, CivicX.

The 2016 Civic will carry a base price of $18,640* but, of course, that's essentially a body on a chassis.

*This does NOT include title, taxes and fees.

Again - there are now a lot of good choices in the subcompact segment. While the Honda is a nice car - it still has a CVT that some simply do not prefer. THere will be a new Cruze - there is already a new Corolla - a new Elantra - and lots of other reasonably able competition. Yes - the civic will continue to sell very well - but the mix will be split up more than before as well.

I have yet to drive a CVT that wasn't annoying.

Civic is shaping up to return to the gold standard in the compact segment. Initial reviews released tomorrow. Only question is how fast Honda can fill the dealerships with full lineup, given the increased model options.
