The Great DEBATE: What Are The Vehicles You See TODAY That Leave You Wondering
One thing we're always trying to do here at AutoSpies is make our users' voices heard. Rather than just ply you with our thoughts 24 hours a day, seven days a week, we LOVE hearing what you say.

Not only because this is a social media site but also because we know that our users are buyers. You, ladies and gentlemen, also are the tastemakers that are on top of the hottest trends.

Simply put, we value your opinion.

So we just have to ask: what are the vehicles you see TODAY that leave you wondering "What was THAT buyer thinking?"

Just to give you an example, every time I see a Nissan Murano CrossCabriolet I can't help but wonder "Why would you get that vehicle?" I just can't seem to understand why anyone would want it. The brand has limited cache, the Murano of that generation wasn't especially good looking and, damn, they were pretty expensive.

What other rides leave you wondering "WTF?"

I have often wondered why people buy small sedans who rear seats will often not accommodate a family pet well. If you are going to buy such a car - why not just buy a two seater? ALthough I do see the back seats in many of these vehicles as stylized luggage shelves. And based on the current conditions of the roads in the USA - I question having cars that are tooo close to the ground. A recent New piece showed a Ferrari on a NY city street - but the condition of the street and the ground clearance of the Ferrari were not compatible without much bottoming out.

But in the end - people buy cars for a basic reason (Transportation) - and some buy their cars for enjoyment of some type - and that pretty much allows almost everything I have seen to coexist with reality.

I'll tell you why I do, don't know if it applies to anyone else. Generally, yes, you only have two people, but sometimes you do need to transport more than two people, and sometimes you need a little more space than the trunk allows. Smaller sedans let you deal with both of those situations.

The Nissan Morono (sic) convertible was stupid and stupid people bought them.

The Mitsubishi Mirage is a head scratcher. It is a TERRIBLE vehicle and for the same price the Chevy Spark is so much better.

The Scion FRS/Subaru BRZ is a head scratcher because it doesn't really handle well--it's a slider at the track--and it's not particularly fast but it is expensive for what little you get. Because the tail is always ready to step out it feels like it's fast, but it's just an illusion.

Acura RL...it's an Accord with a pinch more rear seat space at double the cost.

VW Beetle...the idea was played out by the New Beetle and the New New Beetle is bigger and fatter and even more pointless.

Bentley Bentiguan...no I haven't seen one, but it will give me that "What was the owner thinking?" response.

BMW 1 Series Coupe/Convertible - Shriner mobile

BMW X1 - utter waste of money on a small SUV unless you truly need a BMW

Smart ForTwo - self-explanatory

Range Rover Evoque Coupe - will break your back getting into the back seat that's if you're still alive by the time the seat finishes moving forward.

Infiniti EX35/37 - Refer to BMW X1

VW EOS - only reason a Smart Fortwo makes sense

Ford Flex - bwahahaha

Mitsubishi Outlander Sport - it's a less useful version of a vehicle that you'll be sorry you owned when Mitsubishi pulls out of the U.S.

Buick Encore - almost no utility at all; forget transporting fat people.

........just to name a few

Even though there's only five comments ahead of me. I can't believe nobody has named the Pontiac Aztek yet. And when the BMW X6 came out, I thought "why is BMW copying the Aztek?"

Any Subaru

Any Lincoln beginning with an MK and especially the MKt

The $75k Cadillac Volt coupe

Smart Fortwo (I had one when they 1st came out and sold 1 month later for a profit)
